Improvement2026-06-15
Faster server runtime on Vercel
Production server functions now run on Bun instead of Node.js for lower latency on CPU-heavy rendering.
  • —Vercel deployments use the Bun runtime for Next.js server functions.
  • —Local dev and builds use the same Bun-powered Next.js commands.
  • —Upload image optimization uses built-in Bun.Image on the Bun runtime (sharp fallback elsewhere).
Platform2026-06-15
Shared packages and scalable app layout
Email templates and UI utilities now live in shared packages, with worker and engine app scaffolds ready for future background and edge workloads.
  • —React Email templates moved to @eventpalour/email for reuse across web and workers.
  • —Shared cn utility in @eventpalour/ui; worker and engine app folders are ready to wire up.
  • —Desktop and mobile platform folders document Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android release paths.
Feature2026-06-15
Desktop and mobile apps
Event Parlour can now run as a Tauri desktop app and an Expo mobile app, both loading the same web product in a native shell.
  • —Tauri desktop app under apps/desktop with a configurable web URL.
  • —Expo mobile app under apps/mobile for iOS and Android development.
  • —Run bun run dev:desktop or bun run dev:mobile alongside bun run dev:web.
Platform2026-06-15
Monorepo layout with Turborepo
The codebase is organized as a Turborepo monorepo so builds, tests, and future apps can scale without a messy root directory.
  • —The Next.js app lives under apps/web; shared TypeScript config lives in packages/tsconfig.
  • —Root commands run lint, typecheck, tests, and builds through Turbo with caching.
  • —Developer docs describe the layout in docs/monorepo.md.
Platform2026-06-15
Faster builds with Turborepo
Local and Vercel builds now use Turborepo for task caching and parallel lint, typecheck, and test runs.
  • —Production builds on Vercel run through Turborepo for remote cache support.
  • —Contributors can run lint, typecheck, and tests in parallel with one validate command.
Fix2026-06-14
Responsive workspace setup for organizers
The workspace setup page now works cleanly on phones and small screens, and attendees can open it from Create Event without being bounced back to the dashboard.
  • —Workspace setup scrolls properly on mobile with a fixed submit bar and safe-area padding.
  • —Phone number and text fields no longer clip off-screen on narrow viewports.
  • —Attendees upgrading to organizer can reach workspace setup from the dashboard.
Fix2026-06-14
Admin dashboard loading fix
The super admin dashboard loads reliably again after user-count queries were optimized.
  • —Admin metrics no longer send thousands of disposable-email domains in a single database query.
Improvement2026-06-14
Block disposable emails and refine user counts
Sign-up and sign-in now reject temporary email providers. Admin total user counts only include onboarded accounts with permanent email addresses.
  • —Disposable email domains are blocked during registration, login, and Google sign-in.
  • —Admin dashboard user totals exclude incomplete onboarding and known throwaway addresses.
